The Portugal national team crushed the Armenian team at home in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match — 9:1.
The Portuguese, who were unable to be helped by the suspended star forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the match, won Group F and directly qualified for the World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
Ireland took second place in the group, snatching victory from Hungary on their home ground with a goal in the 96th minute. They will play in the playoff matches for qualification to the 2026 World Cup.
