The Disciplinary Commission of the French Ski Federation (FFS) has decided to suspend Olympic medalist and ten-time world champion in biathlon, Frenchwoman Julie Simon, from competitions and training for six months, five of which are conditional.
“After debates and hearings regarding Ms. Julie Simon's case, as well as based on materials from the federal investigation, criminal investigation, and materials from the hearings in the correctional court, the National Disciplinary Commission of the French Ski Federation has imposed the following sanctions on Ms. Julie Simon:
A temporary ban on participating in competitions and training for a period of six months, organized or authorized by FFS and IBU, of which five months are conditional. A fine of €30,000, of which €15,000 is conditional, this amount must be paid to FFS within six months and directed towards the training of young biathletes,” said the FFS statement.
The FFS decision takes effect from November 7, 2025. The federation also stated that no further comments would be made.
