The UK Government Intervened in the Aston Villa vs. Maccabi Match Situation

High-ranking government officials issued a statement after negotiations to lift the ban on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans attending the Europa League match against Aston Villa at Villa Park on November 6.

This is reported by Give me sport.

"No one should be deprived of the opportunity to watch a football match simply because of their nationality. The government is working with the police and other partners to do everything possible to ensure the safe conduct of the match in the presence of all fans. We are looking into what additional resources and support are needed so that all fans can attend the match," the statement said.

Previously, the Birmingham club did not allow fans of the Israeli team to attend the international tournament match due to concerns about the safety of spectators and local residents.
