Former Manchester City head coach Roberto Mancini could lead Manchester United

Former Manchester City head coach Roberto Mancini could be considered as a possible replacement for Ruben Amorim as the head coach of Manchester United.

According to The Sun, the 60-year-old Italian has told friends that he may be in contention for a position at the club. He, like Manchester United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, lives in the south of France: it is believed they have already met at various social events.

In the 2011/2012 season, Manchester City under Mancini won the Premier League, finishing ahead of Manchester United on goal difference.

The last position held by the Italian specialist was with the Saudi Arabian national team. The Italian left this post on October 24 of last year.
