Daniil Medvedev, ranked 18th in the world, commented on the possibility of a final at the Masters tournament in Shanghai against Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic.
Earlier, Medvedev reached the semifinals of the hard court tournament, where his opponent will be Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech. Djokovic, in turn, will fight for a spot in the final against Monaco's Valentin Vacherot.
"If I play against Novak in the final — great, just awesome! I love playing against Novak, we've met in finals before. But first, I need to play against Arthur, beat him, and show good tennis," Medvedev stated.
Medvedev noted that in the upcoming match, the opponents will serve well and hit strong shots. According to the Russian, he needs to be ready for these challenges.
