Insider Frank Seravalli stated that Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin may change teams during the 2025/2026 season.
According to the journalist, the 39-year-old hockey player will be of interest to the Florida Panthers.
- I think the Florida Panthers will be on the list of contenders for Malkin not only because they have been one of the most successful teams in recent seasons, but also because Evgeni Malkin is spending the offseason in Miami. This would be a very suitable option for all parties, " said Seravalli on the Open Ice program.
Evgeni Malkin has been playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins since the fall of 2006. Together with the Penguins, he has become a three-time Stanley Cup champion.
In the 2024/2025 season, Gino scored 50 points (16+34) in 68 regular season NHL games. His contract with Pittsburgh expires on June 30, 2026.
