Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has been named Player of the Week in the Champions League, according to UEFA's press service.
On Tuesday, September 30, the 26-year-old Frenchman scored three goals in the match of the second round of the group stage against Kairat (5:0) in Almaty. This is his third hat-trick in away matches of the tournament. With this achievement, Mbappe has equaled the record set by Filippo Inzaghi.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Rasmus Hojlund (Napoli), and Jens Petter Hauge (Bodo/Glimt) were also in contention for the title of Player of the Week in the Champions League.
