Investor and entrepreneur Girts Rungainis believes that the new government of Andris Kulbergs will soon face a tough test of its resilience.

In an interview on TV24, he agreed with political scientist Philip Raevsky's opinion that many forces in the current Saeima were afraid of the influence of 'New Unity', which largely led to the current political configuration. According to Rungainis, the government needs a clear action plan with specific, measurable, and achievable goals.

However, he doubted that implementing the plans would be as easy as it seems from the outside. In his opinion, many problems appear simple until one has to face the state machinery, bureaucracy, and the real limitations of power.

Speaking about the prospects of the new cabinet, Rungainis recalled the famous phrase by Mike Tyson: everyone has a battle plan until they get punched in the mouth. According to him, Kulbergs' government will very soon 'get hit hard' and face the first serious blows of reality.

'Only then will the real struggle begin,' Rungainis stated. In his view, it will become clear after that whether the new government can maintain its chosen course and not abandon its goals under the pressure of circumstances.

As already reported by Bb.lv, the new government of Latvia has set ambitious goals.
