And the new week will be very hot politically.
Already on Monday, the prime minister candidate Andris Kulbergs will begin official consultations with the 'core' of the future coalition - the National Alliance, the United List, and the Union of Greens and Farmers. Representatives of 'New Unity' are likely to be invited to the negotiating table on Tuesday - first, probably, Kulbergs will meet with this party.
Meanwhile... the outgoing Silinie government continues to work. In a 'free mode,' since coalition council meetings will no longer be held - there is no point in this, as the partners cannot stand each other and have practically buried the coalition agreement.
In the Saeima, meanwhile, next week is set to address quite politically sensitive issues. The Saeima's Economic Commission will finalize its work on, among other things, language amendments to the Consumer Rights Protection Law. It is expected that a compromise version from the Ministry of Justice will be adopted, which will still allow buyers and sellers to choose the language of communication (by mutual agreement), but the seller will not be obliged to use foreign languages. Information in the same restaurant and bistro in the languages of third countries (read - in Russian) will also be prohibited.
The Defense and Internal Affairs Commission is finalizing work on a new immigration law, while the Foreign Affairs Commission will consider the issue of reducing business relations with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
