Only representatives of two government forces - "New Unity" and the Union of Greens and Farmers - attended the meeting.
Contrary to the initial statement by the leader of the "Progressives" Andris Šuvajevs, none of the representatives of his party attended today's coalition council. Thus, for almost an hour, only the politicians from "New Unity" led by Evika Siliņa and the Union of Greens and Farmers were present. Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze (Union of Greens and Farmers) candidly admitted after the meeting that it is still unknown whether the format of the ruling coalition is functioning, as the "Progressives" ignored today's meeting and are waiting to talk to Evika Siliņa on Wednesday. Siliņa herself indicated that she is ready to meet with the "Progressives" on Wednesday, and she will not come alone, but will bring her candidate for Minister of Defense - Colonel Raivis Melņis.
