Political Scientist: "Marx's Works Are Required Reading!"

The expert defended the politician who admitted to reading Karl Marx.

Political scientist and political technologist Jurģis Liepnieks unexpectedly decided to defend Deputy Andris Šuvajevs, who faced criticism for his admission in an interview that he had studied the works of Marx.

"...I have also read a lot of Marx. All the most important works. And for anyone who wants to seriously express their views on politics, ideologies, society - this is required reading. Without knowing Marx, how can one judge the 20th century, capitalism, modern ideologies at all? I would not agree with Šuvajev's assessment that 'perhaps Marx's prediction will indeed come true,' but otherwise, it's a normal article, there is nothing there to raise a fuss about. The 'progressives' should be criticized for what they (do not) do in the Ministry of Communications, in the Ministry of Defense, in this government as a whole, voting for these budgets, actively working towards even greater inequality, backwardness, poverty, etc. But not for having read about Marx," Jurģis Liepnieks commented on the social network X.
