Activists of the new political force lament that there is no campaign urging Latvians not to use the Russian language.
Activist of the Austošā saule party, Dace Lindberga, stated at a conference on combating Russification within the walls of the Riga City Council that many Latvians find themselves "trapped by Russian speakers" and cannot break free from this trap. "They continue to serve in Russian! In their own country! A campaign against serving in Russian is needed!" said the activist.
