Member of the European Parliament Vilis Kristopans ('Patriots of Europe') drew parallels between the recent elections in Hungary and the upcoming elections in Latvia.
"In Hungary, all observers noted that the election process was very transparent. All 7.5 million votes were counted in just a few hours, and just a few hours later, Viktor Orban called Peter Madjar and congratulated him on his victory.
I really hope that in Latvia the elections will go smoothly, the votes will be counted quickly, and Evika Silina will call Ainars Shlesers on October 3 after 10 PM to congratulate him on his victory," says Vilis Kristopans.
