Ilmars Poikans, a specialist at the artificial intelligence laboratory of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Latvia, shared his view on the integration of AI tools into the work of the government apparatus on the TV24 channel in the program Uzmanības centrā ekonomika.
In his opinion, AI can successfully optimize the government apparatus: "In the management of the state, as in the private sector, there are people who do something, and there are people who look for excuses for why they cannot do something." The expert is convinced that the part of the employees who do not pay off could be perfectly replaced by AI, which would perform its functions effectively: "So we can easily throw all these slackers out of the management of the state."
