Former Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks commented on the departure of Alexey Roslikov to Belarus in an interview with TV-24.

According to Pabriks, during wartime, society radicalizes, and the politician believes that part of the Russian-speaking Latvians has taken the side of Latvia, while another part "has taken a position resonant with the Kremlin."

"Roslikov decided to orient himself towards this radical part of the Russian-speaking electorate. And thus he was balancing on the edge of a knife. This balancing act ended with Roslikov deciding to flee to Belarus. I think this marks the end of his political career in Latvia. He clearly miscalculated in his politics," Pabriks believes.
