On Friday, the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, will visit educational institutions, enterprises, and internal security agencies in the Smiltene and Valmiera regions, the LETA agency was informed by the president's office.
At 9:45, the head of state will visit Smiltene Secondary School, after which at 11:00 he will lay flowers at the memorial of General Karlis Goppers. In addition, the president will meet with the scouts of the 4th Valmiera Scout Unit.
At 13:15, Rinkevics will visit the Patria armored vehicle manufacturing plant. Then, at 14:50, his visit to the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences is scheduled, where he will meet with the administration, faculty, and students.
At 15:40, the head of state will visit the West Vidzeme section of the Vidzeme Regional Department of the State Police.
