Lithuania is increasingly pulling ahead.
The EU statistical agency has released data on GDP per capita for the year 2025. Unfortunately, as usual, Latvia can once again be found at the end of this table. Our country ranks third from the bottom - 71% of the average level in the EU, with the average level taken as 100%. Only Bulgaria and Greece are worse off at 68%. Slovakia, with a result of 75%, rounds out the group of laggards.
Estonia's GDP level is 79%, while Lithuania has long pulled ahead with a result of 88% of the average GDP level.
The top three consists of Luxembourg (239%), Ireland (237%), and the Netherlands (134%).
