With jokes and jests, the meeting of the deputy corps of the capital of Latvia took place, where the liquidation of kindergartens was discussed.
“Invite a social psychologist to the next meeting,” said the controversial poet Liana Langa (National Alliance), pointing to the figures of deputies from opposition parties. Once again, she stated that the meeting hall is filled with – Sverdlovskas tirgus (Sverdlovsk Market)!
– A narcologist will also be useful, at least for some deputies on a regular basis. We could hire one, the opposition members picked up on the idea, clearly hinting at Langa's recent participation in drinking alcohol within the walls of the Riga City Council.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Vilnis Kiršis (“New Unity”) frightened the deputies:
– We have another option – to wait until there are no children left in the kindergartens, just educators.
The vice mayor emphasized that kindergartens should prepare children for school – in the state language. As for infrastructure, Riga is not a province, and, as the politician assured, “there will be no need to travel for tens of kilometers, just cross the street.”
“A drug den will be,” predicted Rudolf Bremanis for the abandoned kindergartens.
– What, will hotels suddenly appear there and thrive? At best, gaming halls, the deputy suggested. – And before the elections – yes, candy balls, the “Progressives” for the children.
According to the politician's estimates, several million euros were invested in the repairs and equipment of the closing kindergartens. Now it will be necessary to renovate those that remain – and one can earn on the very process of updating…
Martiņš Kossovičs (“Progressives”) was the first to play the trump card – he accused RD deputy, as he put it, “from the scandalous Russian Union of Latvia” Julia Sokhina of calling on social media “Telegram” – to study in Russia!
M. Kossovičs also announced that the police had begun an investigation against deputy Yakov Pliner, who posted a photo of himself with Soviet awards on Facebook and congratulated on February 23.
– I hope that security services are monitoring this situation, Mr. Kossovičs expressed.
“These areas with ‘incorrect’ voters,” expressed her opinion on the geography of the closing kindergartens Inna Djeri. Meanwhile, in Mežaparks, a miracle is happening – a school is being built from scratch there!
And the chairwoman of the RD Committee on Education, Youth, and Sports Laima Geikina (“Progressives”), who was one of the politicians promoting the liquidation of kindergartens, thanked parents for… civic initiative.
