In Riga's Kronvalda Park, restoration work on the anniversary pavilion (built for the city's 700th anniversary in 1901) has been underway since 2024.

It is planned to demolish later additions, restore the yellow brick masonry, arches, and decorative elements, after which a glass dome will be created and installed.

The total cost of the three-year restoration work is over 360,000 euros.

In 1901, during the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of Riga's founding, part of the structure was located in the Shooting Park (now Viestura Park) for grand anniversary events. The Esplanade hosted a trade and craft exhibition, while the Shooting Park served as a place for recreation.

To this day, only the pavilion built by master bricklayer Kristaps Kergalvs has survived, showcasing the stonemasons' ability to create complex and elegant forms.
