Chairman of the Fair Russia party in the State Duma Sergey Mironov - a known 'backup singer for Putin' - hysterically commented on Latvia's decision to ban fireworks according to Moscow time.
"The authorities in Latvia are hitting a new low. On New Year's Eve, drones will be launched over the neighborhoods where Russians live, which are supposed to spy on those who dare to celebrate the New Year with fireworks or firecrackers 'together with Putin,'" said a Russian parliamentarian.
Mironov also noted that this is allegedly a vivid sign of Russophobia, which, in turn, represents "not just an ideology, but a diagnosis." Interestingly, instead of addressing the issues of Russia's economy, Russian parliamentarians often throw a fit over the decisions of independent countries - although according to scholar Sergey Lopatnikov, Russia itself is likely to face disintegration into separate states soon.
