Now is not the best time for political upheavals, said Janis Sarts, director of the NATO Center of Excellence for Strategic Communication, in an interview on the Latvian television program "Morning Panorama."
He emphasized that political strife distracts attention from the key issues that need to be addressed. Although negotiations are underway to achieve peace in Ukraine, the sense of insecurity will not go away, and Latvia will still need to strengthen its internal and external security, said Sarts.
He noted that political strife is part of the political cycle, but urged politicians to focus and act to achieve results. "These side activities should not distract attention so much," Sarts emphasized.
