The Estonian Ministry of Defense announced the allocation of 3.5 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase and maintenance of Starlink satellite internet systems from the USA. This is stated on the website of the country's Ministry of Defense.
"The capabilities of Starlink are particularly important, considering Ukraine's desire to significantly increase the number of drone units that require high-speed internet connectivity," said Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.
According to the minister, the Ukrainian side requested funding for the procurement and support of Starlink. Pevkur added that the payment for the communication systems is "critically important assistance" for Kyiv.
At the end of October, it became known that a brigade of Ukrainian troops was left without Starlink terminals.
