According to information published by the port, the number of cruise ship passengers served at the Port of Riga in the first five months of this year increased by 5.2% compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
In the first five months of 2026, a total of 18,004 cruise ship passengers were served at the Port of Riga, while during the corresponding period in 2025, 17,106 cruise ship passengers were served at the port.
In 2025, the Port of Riga served a total of 115,469 cruise ship passengers, which is 42.8% more than in 2024, when 80,870 cruise ship passengers were served at the port.
As reported, the new cruise season of 2026 began on May 3 and 4 with the arrival of two ships from German cruise companies. This year, 103 calls of cruise ships are scheduled at the Port of Riga, while last year, 85 cruise ships visited the Port of Riga.
In terms of cargo handling, the Port of Riga is the largest port in Latvia.
