The air temperature at night will drop to 0..+5 degrees. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to range from +10 degrees in some coastal areas and +14 degrees in Latgale to +20 degrees in parts of the western part of the country.
The +20 degree mark has not yet been reached this year. The last time such warm weather occurred in Latvia was in September.
In Riga, May will begin with a dry and predominantly sunny day, with a light wind blowing. The air temperature at night will drop to +4 degrees, and in some suburbs to +1 degree. During the day, thermometers will rise to +17..+18 degrees, with cooler air remaining along the seaside.
