While traveling in Latvia, one can find another well-maintained place. In the Penkule parish of the Dobele municipality, as part of the community participation project, an environmental improvement facility has been opened — an updated and artistically painted public transport stop on the state regional road P96 "Puri–Auce–Grivaiši," reports the municipality.
This is the first implemented project within the framework of the competition for community participation projects of the Dobele municipality.
The stop in Penkule is an important place for both local residents and visitors, as it provides access to public transport and serves as one of the landmarks of the village.

Before the project was implemented, its technical and visual condition was worn out — peeling paint and various inscriptions on the walls created an unattractive overall impression.

During the project, the walls were cleaned, primed, and artistic painting was done. The composition includes motifs of the Latvian landscape and folk traditions, creating a visually appealing object that corresponds to the local environment.

The painting was done by artist Evgenia Biktimirova, who also developed the visual sketch. The author of the project idea is an active representative of the Penkule community, Liga Pole.

The updated stop will further serve as a well-maintained, aesthetic, and locally appropriate public transport point in the Penkule parish.
