On Saturday, 91 traffic accidents were registered in Latvia, with 11 people injured in seven of them, reported the State Police.
Four accidents with one injured person occurred in the Riga region. In one of these accidents, a cyclist was injured, and in another, an electric scooter rider was involved.
In Kurzeme, four people were injured in an accident, in Latgale - two people, and in Vidzeme, one traffic accident with an injured person was registered.
On Saturday, eight drivers were stopped for driving under the influence, and in six cases, criminal cases were initiated.
A total of 465 administrative protocols were issued for traffic violations, including 243 for speeding and two for aggressive driving.
