Have you bought pork carbonade, Spanish hake, and oranges in supermarkets in Latvia? You are at risk

The Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia has two pieces of news: good and bad.

Let's start with the bad news. In April, experts from this organization discovered several quite popular but unfit for consumption products.

In particular, this concerns Well done pork carbonade (in pieces), which was found to contain Salmonella (Salmonella Typhimurium), Spanish hake, which was contaminated with Anisakis sp. parasites, as well as Egyptian Navel oranges - which had excessive pesticide levels.

The good news is that the mentioned products have already expired and can no longer be sold. Perhaps the experts from the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia conducted laboratory tests as quickly as they could? Or, as is often the case in government service, they were not in a hurry?
