Janis Hermanis, an expert from the Latvian Confederation of Employers, shared the latest demographic statistics on social media. It is horrifying! The expert points out that in February, 810 people were born in Latvia, while 2395 people died, which means an average of 85.5 deaths per day, or three times more than the number of births. Thus, as calculated by J. Hermanis, the natural population decline per day is 56.6 people, or - 2.36 per hour! At this rate, Latvia could eventually turn into a desolate wasteland.
