On Great Saturday, the #RunāLatviski campaign received bad news. - Writes the poetess-de-Russifier on her X...
"The fact is that the Valsts policija, Valsts ugunsdzēsības un glābšanas dienests, and Neatliekamās medicīniskās palīdzības dienests arrived at this address in response to a call.
Despite the fact that the resident of the house said he understood Latvian perfectly, the police officer spoke to him in the state language of Russia. All employees of the three services communicated with each other in Russian. When they were reminded with the call #RunātLatviski, they ignored it and told not to interfere with their work.
Is Latvia really Russia? The situation is still assessed as poor."
The comments are curious:
Well, I wouldn’t trust such "employees" of the Valsts policija. It can’t be that a state institution communicates in Russian. Could they be impostors?
Many advise not to shop in stores where Russian is spoken; maybe the firefighters should be sent away too — there’s no need for them to save human lives with their "Russianness"...
These are the services that should stand for our safety in case of an invasion.
Personally, I believe that after such an incident, the specific involved employees should be fired! I truly believe that the use of the state language of Russia in the work of such services should be perceived as disloyalty to Latvia!
This is NOT a normal situation in 2026!!!
THAT'S IT, THE LID!!!
