From March 30 to April 11, residents of Riga and the surrounding areas will be able to dispose of worn passenger car tires for free at the sorting and recycling center for construction waste in Rumbula (Brivnieku Street, 11), reports the "Green Belt" portal.
Up to 50 passenger car tires can be accepted from one person.

Tires can only be accepted for free if they are passenger car tires without rims, clean, unpainted, and undamaged. They must be free of dirt and soil.

Delivery, unloading, and placing the tires in the designated spot indicated by the collectors must be done independently.
Working Hours: on weekdays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
On holidays – April 3, April 5, and April 6 – the center is closed. On Saturday, April 4, it is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
"We still see that residents are disposing of tires improperly — throwing them into ditches, forests, and other places. Caring for the cleanliness of the environment, we offer car owners the opportunity to dispose of worn and unnecessary tires for free and legally, with a licensed waste collector, which is an additional guarantee that the material will be properly recycled," explains the organizer of the campaign, Erik Gusev.
Experts from the "Green Belt" also remind that car tires are harmful waste for the environment — they should not be left near household waste containers or in nature - they will decompose for over 100 years and release harmful substances into the environment.
The company warns that tires can only be accepted during the specified working hours. If the site is closed, tires should not be left next to the site.

Until April 30, residents of the Ventspils region can dispose of worn passenger car tires for free at the "Pentuļi" waste landfill, reported the public relations manager of "Eco Baltia VIDE" LLC, Alisa Zvaizne.
Up to four passenger car tires can be accepted for free from one person, which must be delivered to the "Pentuļi" household waste landfill in the Varve parish of the Ventspils region during its working hours - on weekdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
