What to Do When You Spot a Drone: Military Recommendations

Against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, the number of unidentified drones may increase in the Baltic states, reports the portal Sargs.lv, which also publishes recommendations for residents in case of spotting a drone.

So, if you notice a drone or its debris, you must immediately report it by calling emergency services at 112, providing the location, time, and nature of the observed object.

Experts strongly recommend not approaching the drone or its parts, as this may pose a danger. You should also avoid posting photos and videos on social media — such materials are better handed over to law enforcement agencies.

It is important to ensure your own safety: if possible, take cover, stay away from windows, and avoid crowded places. At the same time, you should closely monitor official information coming from the National Armed Forces, police, and rescue services.

Experts emphasize: not all drones pose a threat, but every such case should be taken seriously and acted upon responsibly.
