In the last days of March, dry weather will mainly persist in Latvia, the sun will often shine, and the air temperature will not change significantly, meteorologists predict.
On Saturday and Sunday, no precipitation is expected, cloud cover will generally be minimal, and the wind will be weak. At night, the air temperature will drop to +1…-5 degrees, with the maximum daytime temperature ranging from +6 degrees in some coastal areas to +13...+14 degrees in Latgale.
At the beginning of next week, some precipitation is likely, mainly light rain. The air temperature will not change significantly.
In early April, more cloudy, humid, and cooler days are possible, but no significant precipitation is forecasted.
According to the data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, over the past month - since the end of February - the air temperature in Latvia has consistently been above normal, breaking 127 temperature records. It is expected that in April, the temperature will occasionally drop slightly below normal - the average figure for 1991-2020.
