This coming weekend, mainly sunny weather is expected in Latvia, while at night in many places, the air temperature will drop below zero, forecasters predict, LETA reports.
On Thursday, rain clouds will move from Kurzeme to the eastern part of the country. At night, the wind will die down, and the air temperature will not drop below +1..+6 degrees; during the day in Kurzeme, the southern and southwestern winds will strengthen again, and the air will warm up to +5..+11 degrees.
On Friday and Saturday, predominantly sunny weather is expected, while on Sunday, cloud cover may increase; however, significant precipitation is not forecasted. With light winds, fog will form in some areas at night. The minimum air temperature will be +2..-4 degrees. During the day, the temperature will rise to +8..+13 degrees, and it will be about one degree cooler along part of the coast.
According to the current forecast from the Global Forecast System, cooler weather is expected in Latvia in the first half of April than in March, with occasional snow possible.
