Dry and mostly sunny weather is expected in Latvia this coming weekend, meteorologists forecast, writes LETA.
In the afternoon of Thursday and during the night into Friday, rain clouds will cross Latvia from the northwest, with wet snow and fog also expected. On Friday, the weather will clear up, with more clouds remaining in Latgale. A weak southwest wind will shift to a northern wind.
On Saturday and Sunday, light and variable cloudiness is expected, with no precipitation. The wind will again shift from the south and southwest and will be weak.
The air temperature in the coming nights will drop to +2 to -5 degrees, with maximum daytime temperatures reaching +3 to +10 degrees, and on Saturday and Sunday, most of the country will see temperatures rise to +8 to +13 degrees.
In rivers, the water level will mainly continue to decrease.
As previously reported, the day has become longer than the night, and astronomical spring will begin on March 20.
