Fog formed in Riga during the morning hours of Saturday, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) reported to LETA.
In the morning, fog formed in places with visibility of 500–1000 meters, which will persist until midday.
Due to the fog, a yellow warning has been issued, meaning that the fog, which is very dense in places, may affect outdoor activities. Transportation on the roads may be hindered, as well as air traffic. Therefore, it is advisable to plan for more time on the road. Additionally, the fog may worsen air quality, especially in cities.
