So, already tomorrow the Cabinet of Ministers will discuss and surely approve the information message from the Ministry of Health regarding the cancellation of the fee for 'servicing' a prescription or, more precisely, for the services of a pharmacist. The Ministry of Health proposes to not charge 75 cents for the services of a pharmacist for first-group disabled individuals starting from September 1 of this year. For this purpose, 453,350 euros will be needed from the budget.

It is also proposed that starting from July 1, 2026, the 75-cent charge will no longer apply when purchasing a prescription medication costing up to 10 euros. For this purpose, 8,762,265 euros will be needed this year, and 9,085,140 euros next year.

The patient fee of 75 cents on medications up to 10 euros will remain only for those patients whose medication costs will be reimbursed by the state at a 100 percent rate.
