The air temperature will rise to -3 to -10 degrees.
In Riga, significant precipitation is not expected, and there will be virtually no wind — a high level of air pollution is possible. The air temperature will rise to -6 degrees.

In Liepaja and Rucava, the record for minimum temperature has been broken for the second night in a row, and the coldest morning on Monday was in Latgale, meteorological information indicates, writes LETA.
At the observation station in Liepaja, the minimum air temperature reached -24 degrees by 5 a.m., and in Rucava, it was -26.1 degrees. Such severe frost on February 16 has been recorded at these stations for the first time.
According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC), at five in the morning, the air temperature ranged from -4.1 degrees in Ainaži and -6.4 degrees in Kolka to -29.6 degrees at the meteorological station in Daugavpils, writes LETA.
The cold record on February 16 in Daugavpils, as well as nationwide, is -33.8 degrees and was recorded in 1979.
According to information from Latvijas Valsts ceļi, the lowest air temperature at night was -25 degrees in the South Kurzeme region and -27 to -28 degrees in the vicinity of Daugavpils and in the Ludza region.
The sky is mostly cloudy, with clear skies in the Liepaja area and part of Latgale. Light snow is falling in some places.
The snow cover thickness at observation stations ranges from six centimeters in Mersrags and seven centimeters in Kolka, Daugavgriva, Ainaži, and Rujiena to 54 centimeters in Sili of the Livani region and 57 centimeters in Dagda.
A weak wind or calm prevails. There is haze in some areas. Air quality is generally moderate, with poor quality in Rezekne. In the morning hours, with increased traffic intensity and more active heating of stoves, air quality may deteriorate in other cities as well.

The maximum air temperature on Sunday in the LEGMC observation network ranged from -0.7 degrees in Kolka to -12.0 degrees in Stalgene.
The highest air temperature in Europe on February 15 was +26 degrees in Crete. The lowest temperature on the night of Monday was -34 degrees in northern Norway and -36 degrees in Russia.
