Most of the roads in Latvia are covered with snow and ice 0 14

The worst situation is observed in Latgale, where movement is difficult on all major roads. Many snow-covered and icy sections are also present in the western part of Kurzeme, in the central and northern parts of Vidzeme, as well as in the vicinity of Riga on the left bank of the Daugava. The most favorable conditions for movement are in Zemgale.

Snow-covered sections are being cleared and treated with anti-icing materials. On Friday morning, 133 units of winter service equipment are involved in these operations, as reported by the Latvian State Roads (LSD).
