The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) has issued a yellow-level warning for severe frosts on Friday night, reports LETA.
Forecasters warn that severe frost is expected in the central and eastern regions of Latvia on Friday night and Friday morning.
The air temperature will drop to minus 20–24 degrees.
As previously reported, cold weather in Latvia will persist in the coming days. On Saturday night, the air temperature may drop to minus 27 degrees, and on Sunday night to minus 29 degrees.
