This year, the first child born in the Riga Maternity Hospital was a girl. The baby was born at 1:25. Soon after, a boy was born at 1:39. Another girl was born at 6:27.
The Riga Maternity Hospital expects that these children will not be the only ones born today.
In 2024, 12,571 children were born in Latvia, and data for the previous year has not yet been collected.
