Former champion of Latvia in MTB marathon Normunds Zviēdris has passed away, according to a message from the Latvian Cycling Federation on social media Facebook.
Zviēdris was the head of the sports club "ZZK" and the chain of bicycle shops "ZZK", a champion of Latvia among amateurs in road cycling, and an active supporter of the development of cycling.
From January 28 to June 13, 2014, Zviēdris served as the chairman of the Adazi municipality council.
Zviēdris was also a member of the board of the "Entrepreneurs of Adazi" association and supported various sports events, sports organizations, and young athletes in the Adazi region.
