In the coming week, weather conditions in Latvia will not change significantly - the air temperature will remain the same, precipitation will occur, and a permanent snow cover will not form, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Friday and Saturday, the sky will be overcast, with light rain and drizzle expected in some areas, and on Saturday, rain will fall throughout the day in many places. During the night, with a light southeast wind, fog will form in some areas, which will persist during the day in the east, reducing visibility on the roads. The air temperature at night and during the day will remain in the range of +1...+6 degrees.
On Sunday, a low-pressure area will approach from the west, with predominantly cloudy weather expected, bringing rain and wet snow to many regions. The wind will be light to moderate from the southeast and south. Night and daytime temperatures will show -1...+4 degrees.
In the new week, as the influence of the cyclone strengthens, the sky will remain cloudy, and several zones of precipitation will cross the country from the west, bringing mainly rain and, in some places, wet snow.
From the middle of the week, the wind will strengthen, with gusts expected along the coast. Night and daytime temperatures will remain positive, with only towards the end of the week, negative temperatures at night in the eastern regions.
