On the Day of Proclamation of Independence of Latvia, families with honorary status will be able to travel for free on trains, representatives of JSC "Pasažieru vilciens" (PV), operating under the brand "Vivi," informed the LETA agency.
Free tickets for a single journey on the holiday will be available to large families, as well as families raising children with disabilities. These tickets will be available at all PV ticket offices and from conductors on the train; however, it will not be possible to purchase tickets with a 100% discount through the PV website or mobile application.
All family members can use the ticket — both parents and children.
To obtain a ticket, it is necessary to present a valid "Honorary Family" certificate along with an identity document or a student ID. Passengers must have all the specified documents with them not only at the time of ticket collection but also throughout the entire journey on the train, PV emphasizes.
At the same time, PV reminds that on the holiday, trains will operate according to the weekend schedule, with changes on certain routes.
