The expert warns: people will have to work longer.
Henrijs Kalkis, a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Latvia, noted in an interview with TV-24 that life expectancy in Latvia is increasing, and this will inevitably lead to the retirement age being raised sooner or later.
Moreover, the expert emphasized that many retirees, if their health allows, want to work themselves, live a full life, and be in demand.
