A survey conducted by the international research and technology company "Gemius" showed that the majority of the population (26%) has not yet made a decision.
Among those who made a choice, the candidate for the position of Prime Minister who received the most support was Ainars Šlesers (the party "Latvia First"), followed by Evika Siliņa ("New Unity").
According to the survey data, 11.4% of internet users in Latvia would like to see Šlesers as Prime Minister, 10.8% would vote for Siliņa, and 10.5% chose the option "other." Among those who indicated "other candidate," the most frequently mentioned names were Aivars Lembergs, Uldis Pīlēns, Imants Lancmanis, and Edgars Rinkēvičs.
26% of respondents stated that they have no opinion regarding the next Prime Minister.
When asked which party they would vote for if the elections to the Saeima were held tomorrow, 15.3% of respondents would choose the "National Alliance," 13.6% would choose "New Unity," and 12.7% would choose "Progressives." The party "Latvia First" would be supported by 10.7% of respondents, while the political movement "Without Parties" would receive 8.8% support.
The survey was conducted from October 31 to November 6, with 1,410 internet users in Latvia participating. The research was carried out using the online survey gemiusAdHoc, based on pop-up questionnaires shown to randomly selected users. The obtained data were evenly distributed by age and the language used at home.
