The Food and Veterinary Service (FVS) found salmonella-causing bacteria in skinless boneless chicken drumsticks of Polish origin, according to information released by the FVS, LETA reports.

The Food and Veterinary Service (FVS) identified Salmonella Enteritidis bacteria in chicken drumsticks during a laboratory inspection.

The service notes that the expiration date of the batch of skinless boneless chicken drumsticks of Polish origin with the number "6450673321" has passed, and the product is no longer on sale.

The FVS published an information notice about the finding in the European Union's Rapid Alert System.

The FVS is a government agency under the Ministry of Agriculture that oversees and controls the circulation of food products and veterinary matters.
