The film company Warner Bros. Pictures Ukraine, as part of the promotional campaign for the mysterious satirical black comedy "Digger," showcased a retrospective video featuring the best roles of the lead actor in the film, Tom Cruise, who is considered one of the most influential figures in modern cinema.
In particular, the video includes clips from the "Top Gun" and "Mission: Impossible" franchises, as well as from such cinematic hits as "Interview with the Vampire," "Days of Thunder," "Far and Away," "Rain Man," "Vanilla Sky," "Minority Report," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Jerry Maguire," "Edge of Tomorrow," "Tropic Thunder," and many others.
At the end of the video, viewers were shown new footage from "Digger," which finally allows for a better look at Cruise's character – Digger Rockwell. Little is known about the plot of the film so far. According to available information, the story will center around "the most powerful man in the world who will try to prove that he is the savior of humanity on the brink of a catastrophe that he himself caused."
In addition to Cruise, the film features Sandra Hüller ("Anatomy of a Fall," "The Zone of Interest," "Toni Erdmann," "Project 'Ave Maria'"), John Goodman ("Raising Arizona," "King Ralph," "The Big Lebowski," "Kong: Skull Island"), Jesse Plemons ("The Power of the Dog," "State of the Union," "Bugonia," TV series "Fargo," "Love and Death"), Riz Ahmed ("Venom," "Sound of Metal," "The Phonenix Scheme," "The Operator"), Sophie Wilde ("Talk to Me," "The Bureau of Magical Services," "Good Bad Girl"), Emma D'Arcy (TV series "House of the Dragon"), and others.
The film was directed by Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu ("21 Grams," "Biutiful," "Birdman," "The Revenant").
At the same time, Warner Bros. Pictures promises to show a full trailer for the film on July 13, 2026.
