The Primadonna made serious attempts to break away from her past.
Igor Kurylyv, the former director of Sofia Rotaru, candidly spoke about his conversation with Alla Pugacheva, which revealed her addiction. In an interview with "Glavkom," he shared that the artist loved to squander money in casinos.
"Alla Borisovna said to me: 'Igor, do you have some quiet corner? I want to have a smoke.' There’s a photo of us sitting in a gazebo, drinking wine, and Alla is smoking. And she tells me then: 'And your Olga plays. I see her all the time in the casino.' Alla herself didn’t get out of there either," Igor Kurylyv shared.
Gambling was not the only addiction of Alla Pugacheva. She started smoking around the age of 10–13. In the period of 2014–2015, after the birth of her younger children, the Primadonna made a serious attempt to break away from her past and even announced that, with the help of a priest, she was able to completely quit smoking. Later, Alla Borisovna honestly admitted that strong emotional shocks that hit her in 2022 amid her forced relocation made her return to smoking.
"Max told me: 'You know what, it’s better to smoke.' Well, I was very nervous," Pugacheva shared in an interview with Gordeeva.
