A resident of a suburb of Riga joked for years that she would one day win in SuperBingo. And now the dream has come true: the lucky ticket brought her over 580,000 euros and her own house, and the news of the win caught her right in line.
“I still don’t understand how my numbers could have come up,” says the 40-year-old resident of a suburb of Riga, who works in public administration, with a radiant smile. On May 23, she became the owner of one of the largest winnings in the history of SuperBingo, receiving a total of 580,021.44 euros and a Scandinavian-style house.
The lucky ticket was purchased through iLOTO. The main prize amounted to 249,173.92 euros, and thanks to participation in the additional games Joker and Joker 7, the woman also won a private house along with an additional cash prize. As a result, the total winnings exceeded half a million euros.
The winner shares that for many years she loved to repeat the same phrase to her husband: “When I win in SuperBingo, we will definitely do this or that!” According to her, despite participating in other lotteries, she spoke about SuperBingo with particular confidence. “That’s how I called upon my winnings!”
What is particularly surprising is that the lucky combination of numbers was created about two years ago. Among them were important family dates — the birthdays of children and parents.
“It’s interesting that only in one combination were there numbers that were significant to me. The other combinations were random, but it was the one with the important numbers that turned out to be lucky.”
The woman learned about her victory completely unexpectedly. She had stopped by a Narvesen store to buy a snack for her child before a sports competition. While standing in line, she remembered that the results of the draw should have been announced. “I wanted to check if I had won at least a hundred euros.” She opened the app, looked at the results, closed it, and then immediately opened it again, not believing her eyes. She remembers the subsequent events vaguely. Later, the child who was nearby told her that, in shock, her mother even forgot the purchases on the counter.
The first thing she did was call her husband. “I probably spoke too unclearly because at first he thought I had been in an accident.” When the truth was revealed, her husband repeated several times that she had long deserved such a gift from fate and that good things happen to good people.
Now the family is making plans for the future. First of all, the loan will be paid off, but after that, a large part of the winnings will remain. The winner admits that she has long loved to travel and measures life by trips. “I’ve already started thinking about Bali and America.”
She is already looking into flight tickets and travel offers, dreaming of taking advantage of the moment while the children still want to travel with their parents. “I want to enjoy life! I agree with the saying: those who do not enjoy life become unbearable themselves.” The family is also considering the possibility of buying another property and creating savings for the children’s future. However, such sudden luck has brought not only joy but also excitement. “All the new thoughts and emotions have certainly affected my sleep.” But this is precisely the case when insomnia is caused solely by happy changes in life.
