Singer and former dancer of the group "A-Europa" Solvita Avakyan has faced many challenges in recent years, but they have not broken her, according to an article from "Privātā Dzīve."
“The last time I released a song was in 2023. After that, I got pregnant, and I had neither the time nor the financial means to produce and record anything,” says Solvita Avakyan. Now she is determined to return to show business with a new stage name — SollaBombita, writes nra.lv.
Those around her admire her not only for her appearance but also for how Solvita, as a single mother, does not lose her dreams and goals — she continues to pave her way in music.
Two years ago, Solvita received her most beautiful gift — she gave birth to her second child. The father of her son is not involved in their lives. At first, there was not even financial support from him, which she had to fight for.
“Since September of last year, he has been paying alimony,” adds Avakyan.
The biggest headache for the singer is the bills.
“I live with my son in Pardaugava, in a small one-room apartment of 30 square meters. Seeing the hot water bill in March, it seems — they heat it with gold!” says Solvita.
“Perhaps they really think: since I am a singer, I have plenty of money. It feels like my life mission is to struggle. But I want not only to struggle but also to live,” admits the singer. The expenses for food and transportation are also a significant burden.
Last year, she was so desperate that she decided not to remain silent about her difficult financial situation and sought support from the social services. “I wanted to ask for help as a single mother. But I was told: you have enough money on your bank card, we won’t give you anything. At that moment, I had 500 euros,” recalls the singer. “I was bewildered. Just for the rented apartment, I need to pay about two hundred euros,” she says. At that time, the singer did not hesitate to share her pain in front of the cameras.
